… WEDDING… One word a lot to do!
What is the first thing you have to know about your wedding? What is most important on this day?
Well, I think with these two questions, together with your budget, can be a good start!
The first thing you have to know is the number of guests so that you can choose the location. This is only the first thought.
The next one is: “What is most important on this day?”
The Guests/Relatives and Parents?
It is not easy is it?!
I always advise my clients to think about everything before the “big day” and to be sure all the people hired for the wedding – wedding planner, music band, maître, light/sound technician etc. – know exactly what to do so that on the day you just need to supervise them without too many worries…
On your wedding day you shouldn’t be chasing and checking out that the people mentioned above are doing their tasks correctly.
Be sure your best friends and parents know and are in contact with the wedding planner in case they want to make a surprise!!
These, for instance, are just a few problems I have experienced:
- Bride and Groom discussing with the chef and the wedding planner asking why the food was cold. (In Italy the food is very important!)
- Bride and Groom asking the music band why they did not play the requested song during the ceremony.
- Bride and Groom asking why the flowers were not the colour/type they had asked for etc..
To be sure all staff know what they have to do and when, the only way is to write everything down in a notebook! (Best advice ever!)
During the reception there will always be surprises made by the guests or parents, so if you decide to spend a lot of time amongst the guests, be ready to have photos taken with them all day long: be ready to smile and forget the food or.. the toilet!!!
At this point you might be asking yourself why you had to get married (?!)
Well, in my case I would want to get married in order to share my wife’s and my own happiness, love and commitment with my family, relatives and friends and get them to be part of this special day as well enjoy the nice location!
So what happens when the party is over?
I believe that if the guests really enjoy themselves they want to have memories of this special day spent in good company with great music and nice moments. And what better way to do this than having photos and a video of that day?
They will represent the happy memories and special moments spent with the love of my life for years; they will be part of the story of my life forever and a piece of personal history spent with the people I really care for.
What is my message?
The wedding day is the only one day you are able to spend in the company of the people you truly love so my suggestion is: have many professional and beautiful photos/videos of yourselves taken by the photographer/videomaker!
On that day the world is yours, you shouldn’t worry about anything else. On that day the bride and the groom are special!
Dear Bride and Groom: this day is for you and for you only!
I wish for all of your days to be like this day!
Congratulations on your wedding day!!!
